moose lover
name is Heather Eng and I'm 12 years old. I live in Hamden, Connecticut, and have wanted to see a Moose ever since I've heard of them. Living in Conneticut didn't give me the best chance to see one, since Moose are rarely seen here.
Whenever I'd go to New Hampshire for vacation, I'd have my heart set on seeing a Moose. I never did. Until, that is, my last trip to New Hampshire.
On Monday, August 9, 1999, I was riding in the car with my family over the White Mountains. We were on the Kancamagus Scenic Highway to be exact. It was about 5 P.M, and there was a group of people stand at the side of the road. Cars were parked along both directions of the highway. I looked out my window, and there it was... a bull moose!
I was so excited,I practically jumped out of the car when I saw it (that's how excited I was!), and the car was still moving! I could not believe it. I wanted to shout with joy. Of course I didn't, because that's dangerous.I kept a very safe distance from the animal. After all,I had done much studying on moose and knew how dangerous they can be.
I got many beautiful photos of the animal, 24 to be exact. I watched for an hour at least.I was so amazed at how beautiful an animal can truly be. I can't wait to see another moose.
So now you can see, I truly love moose.

moose attacks police officer
A moose presumably with a profound dislike of the police force and motorised vehicles last week launched an attack on a constable driving a snow scooter in Pudasjarvi in Northern Finland. At the first sight of the policeman and his colleagues on their blue and white snow scooters, the 800 kilo animal disappeared, but apparently only to lay its tactics. The unfortunate constable had time enough to run some ten meters before the moose went berserk - kicking the windscreen, front lights and cover of his snow scooter to pieces. At a height of 2.5 meters, moose is the worlds biggest deer, but is normally a shy animal

moose attacks dog
The other day we let our dog out to do her duties. She is 15 years old now, and does not get around like she used to. About a minute after letting her out, we heard her outside crying and yelping. Wondering what on earth was wrong, I went to the door and opened it. Standing just outside the door was a moose, and our dog was up against the fence. My first instinct was to close the door, because the moose was only about five feet away. I needed to get our dog, so I opened the door again, and the moose just stood there. We called our dog, and she bolted into the house. There was blood on her head and she was bleeding from her side. We thought this was going to be it for her. We got her to a vet and found that she had just taken two glancing blows. She was very lucky and is recovering.
